"I want you to realize that you have the power in your hands to make people smile, laugh, to inspire people, and to make people feel cared for and loved." said Suntrust Properties, Inc. (SPI) president Atty. Harry M. Paltongan during the company's celebration of its 22nd anniversary last Nov. 14 in the Philippine Navy Gym, Jurado Hall, in Taguig City.

Having the thirst and all consuming love to give back, SPI has made its own special way of celebrating company milestones – through various csr programs since its Bentengkyu and BenteUno campaigns.

Dubbed as #SuntrustShinesAt22, the company has raised the bar higher with a two-part celebration - one for the body and one for the soul. Eight (8) successful corporate social responsibility programs for various communities were launched through the joint efforts of Suntrust employees, contractors, business partners, and salespeople. They were divided into eight teams, completing the rays of the sun to carry out activities for their chosen beneficiaries.

For the body, a sports fest was held to foster camaraderie among employees.  Outdoor games such as basketball, volleyball, badminton, and indoor games like table tennis, chess, scrabble, pictionary, word factory, and game of the generals promoted a competitive atmosphere anchored on fairness, sportsmanship, passion, and excellence.

For the soul, eight stories which started small and simple ended with a profound impact on the lives of so many beneficiaries. Each team was given a starting fund of P 10,000 to fuel their ideas and creativity on how to go about their respective programs.The management was more than happy that each team took the challenge seriously with so much love and gusto by initiating their own fund raising activities to support various csr programs.

Thus on November 14, 2019, more than 500 Suntrust employees gathered in the Philippine Navy Gym to celebrate the company’s anniversary and the success of each team.

Each team prepared a short video presentation to share a glimpse of their csr projects followed by a cheer dance competition, fun games and an awarding ceremony for Tagisuntrust 2019-  the company’s annual Sports fest to complement the company’s 22nd Anniversary  celebration. 

Aside from its mission to contribute in nation building through its master-planned and self contained communities in strategic locations, Suntrust has also made it its mission to inspire people from all walks of life. Through simple yet noble gestures, SPI aims to make great and meaningful impact to the less fortunate while instilling the value of malasakit to its employees.

Geared towards improving lives, Suntrust will continue to shine its light to more people in the years to come.
